The upward curve to the end of the blade assists in separating meat form the bone.For comfort while using the Messermeister Fine Edge Steak Knife the "POM" handle tapers to the shape of the bolster for a seamless fit. This knife is fully forged for strength and maximum edge retention. Forged blades are also better balanced making cutting easier for the operator.
Properly caring for your Messermeister knife is very important, and will give more life to your blades. Maintaining a sharp edge on your blade and keeping food from drying to it can help prevent injury while using your knife. After you are finished with your knives, clean them with warm soapy water, fully dry and safely store them in a blade guard, knife block, or an in-drawer storage tray. Do not wash your knives in the dishwasher or let them soak in water.
