A specially tampered high carbon steel is forged from one piece to ensure outstanding strength, and good knife balance. Each Classic Series blade is sharpened using Wüsthof’s Precision Edge Technology, for the sharpest blade possible. The tang of the blade is sandwiched between synthetic shells, triple riveted together.
The National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) has tested and certified the Wüsthof Classic knife line for meeting strict standards for public health. Materials used on these knives are less likely to harbor bacteria because of the ease of cleaning.
