The Shun Classic 6.5" Carving Fork is created utilizing traditional Japanese techniques. The long, thick, tapered prongs provide a secure grip for safety while slicing and carving larger roasts, turkey, ham, duck, and more. The tines sharpness proves advantageous for moving meat to and from the pan, as well as for making for an impressive serving presentation. Designed to perfectly complement the DM0703 Shun Classic 8" Carving Knife or the DM0720 Shun Classic 9" Hollow-Ground Slicing Knife, this fork is an essential part of a large family meal or holiday celebration.
Crafted employing the Kasumi method of making blades, Shun Classic cutlery starts with a remarkably hard core of VG10 steel, reinforced with sixteen layers of Damascus cladding on each side. This process allows the blade to more easily glide through foods during use, and produces an eye-catching rippled pattern upon the blade. A full tang delivers optimum strength and balance.
Ingeniously formed into a D-shape that fits securely in your palm, the handle of the Carving Fork is constructed using the extraordinary resin-treated hardwood that is the ebony-black PakkaWood. Sanded and buffed into a smooth, shiny finish, the elegant yet contemporary handle provides superior moisture resistance and durability. Shun cutlery should be hand-washed for best results.
The KAI corporation has been hand-crafting exemplary cutlery in Seki City, Japan for three generations. The Shun Classic 6.5" Carving Fork carries a limited lifetime warranty and complimentary lifetime sharpening service provided by Shun.
