Wusthof presents a knife that fulfills all the classic functions associated with a paring knife, such as peeling and sectioning citrus, cutting tough-skinned vegetables, and spice preparation, while fulfilling a number of additional functions. The Classic Wide 4” Paring Knife features a thicker blade spine that allows the user to grasp the knife further up the blade, granting increased control. With a wider blade, the Wide Paring Knife becomes akin to a “mini cook’s knife”, great for fine-chopping vegetables and effortlessly gliding through small dicing jobs. The knife also features a unique half bolster that grants the user more complete use of the blade’s length.
The precisely forged blade is made using a laser-aided system, known as Precision Edge Technology (PEtec), that grants each knife an extremely keen edge. But, the crafting process is only half of this knife’s claim to fame. Wusthof uses a single piece of the finest high-carbon stainless steel to forge each knife to 58 Rockwell hardness and to ensure that every product lasts for years in your kitchen.
The handle is constructed from a highly resistant synthetic polymer for a permanent fit and unlimited durability. This handle is triple-riveted onto the full-tang blade, imbuing the knife with optimum control and precision during every cut.
Wusthof crafts every knife in Solingen, Germany and protects them with a lifetime warranty.
